This poster is from The Trip in Los Angeles, May 3 through the 18, 1966. The Velvet Underground never finished this run of shows. The Trip was shut down after the third show. Artwork designed by Roy Lichtenstien. A picture of this show appears in the May 27, 1966 edition of Life Magazine. |

This is a handbill from the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco. The dates were May 27, 28 and 29, 1966. A poster and postcards were also printed, however the postcards were printed at a later date. The first run of these items have a Union bug in the lower left hand corner. The handbills are also printed on other color papers and some are two sided with a newspaper article on the backside. Artist is Wes Wilson. |

There are apparently two flyers for theses dates of May 26 and 27, 1967 at The Boston Tea Party. This was the first performance without Nico. Her name was even crossed out on the first flyer. From what I understand, the second flyer was printed after she was out. If anyone knows differently, please let me know.Artist is D.Arthur Hahn for the first flyer and Unknown for the other. |
