This calendar/poster shows what an amazing venue the Boston Tea Party in Boston, MA was. The month of May, 1969 saw and incredible amount of talent on the stage including the Jef Beck Group, Poco, The Who, Joe Cocker, the Bonzo Dog Band, It’s A Beautiful Day, Led Zeppelin and Delaney & Bonnie. And on May 29th and 30th, 1969, The Velvet Underground shared the stage with The Allman Brothers. This Velvet Underground poster measures 11 x 17 inches and is printed on a thin card stock. The name “Engstrom” is printed on the side and I’m guessing that was the artist.

The VU were back at the Boston Tea Party in Boston, MA for three shows on May 16th, 17th and 18th, 1968. Sharing the bill that weekend were The Hallucinations and Bo Grumpus with lights by The Road. As you can see, there are two flyers for the dates of May 26th and 27th, 1967 at The Boston Tea Party in Boston, Massachusetts. This one measures approximately 8 1/2 x 11″. This was the first performance without Nico. Her name was even crossed out on the first flyer. From what I understand, the second flyer was printed after she left the band. If anyone knows differently, please let me know. The artist is D. Arthur Hahn for the first one and unknown for the blue one.
